Great week of sports last week.  Varsity Football beat West Meck to raise their record to 2-0.  We have a big week with Weddington on Saturday-note date change.  JV Football lost a close one 12-8 to West Meck and are 0-1.  Women's tennis beat North Meck and have a 2-2 record.  Soccer beat West Meck and are 2-0 going into this week.  Volleyball is 4-3 with a win over Independence.  Women's golf beat MP by 10 strokes in first match-up with them.  M/W XC are travelling to Wilmington to compete in UNCW invitational this weekend.

Ardrey Kell Sports Photo has been started by Bob Beamer this year to capture student activities throughout the year. The site will have 13 different AKHS sport categories plus a Performing Art category that includes Marching Band and Orchestra galleries, as well as a Cheerleading category. Any photo on this site may be purchased as an electronic download or can be purchased from Smugmug. Individual prints can range from 4x6 inches to 24x36 inches. All purchases from the site will result in a contribution by Bob to the AKHS Booster clubs.

In only four years Ardrey Kell High School has quickly risen to a top tier athletic program.  Winning traditions at AK started early and are sure to continue as the Knights have made their presence known to the community, to its competition and even the national scene as several teams and individuals have earned national recognition.

The Ardrey Kell Athletic Booster club has embarked on a new mission that opens up the door to a new type of partnership for you.  The AK Signature Scoreboard will be the centerpiece of AK Athletics as it takes its place alongside our field of champions.  The new scoreboard will feature a nearly 1,000 square foot profile with a full video display measuring over eleven feet tall and fourteen feet wide!

The AK Scoring system will preside over hundreds of athletic events including football, soccer, lacrosse, summer camps and scores of community events.  Coupled with AK’s “field turf” synthetic field surface, the scoring system will elevate AK’s venue to FIRST CLASS status.
